KSEF 2024 International Judging Guidelines
Thank you students, teachers, and parents for your interest in the KSEF International 2024.
1. Judging Dates : December 28th (Saturday) - 29th (Sunday), 2024 Please note that the judging times differ by category. We strongly advise all participants to refer to the attached schedule for the detailed judging timetable. (Students submitting in multiple categories must ensure there is no overlap in their judging times!)
2. Judging Method : Conducted via online video conference on ZOOM 1) ZOOM Meeting Link

2) Judging - The presentation should be in English. - Number of judging: The Judging will be conducted once. [Three to four judges will join the session simultaneously to conduct the judging and ask questions.] - The judging process will take 25 minutes per project, which includes: ● 7 minutes for the presentation (strictly adhering to the time limit) ● 10–18 minutes for Q&A *Please note that there may be variations in the assigned judging schedule depending on the on-site circumstances. We kindly ask for your understanding. - Presentations will be conducted using the pre-submitted presentation materials (PDF). -The participant will present by sharing their screen and using the submitted materials. (Screen sharing permissions will be granted) - Videos or prototype demonstrations may be included if necessary during the judging. (However, this must be done within the 7-minute presentation time.)
3) Preparation for Judging Entry - Upon joining the ZOOM meeting, the organizers will verify your project ID and assign you to the relevant judging room. - Please ensure that your name in the ZOOM meeting reflects your project ID when joining. (Example: I-001(a), I-001(b)) - ZOOM Background: Please replace your background with the provided virtual background before entering. - Before entering the judging room, kindly check your laptop and desktop for both video and audio functionality. - Please review and familiarize yourself with the attached judging guidelines.
3. Additional Guidelines - Responsibility for Checking Announcements: We would like to remind participants that any issues arising from unclear or incorrect personal information (such as errors in personal details or missing submission materials) are the responsibility of the participant. - Failure to Check Emails or Text Messages: If participants have not received emails or text messages, it is likely due to unclear contact information. Please ensure that correct information is provided by emailing us at ksef@ksef.or.kr or info@ksef.or.kr - Emergency Situations on the Day of Judging: In case of unforeseen circumstances (such as illness, accidents, etc.) that prevent participation on the day of judging, please notify us by sending a text message (including the project ID and details) to [+82-10-9279-7518] or by email. - Judging and Awards: All judges are determined by the respective judging committees, and in cases where there are no projects that meet the criteria for a particular award, the award distribution may be adjusted, and the award plans may be subject to change.
